I am dark, can i get a tattoo done ?
When your freshly new tattoo is done, the ink is deposited millimeters under the top layer of skin. It depends on the shade that your skin is. Bold, solid colors are always the best as they will show through just about any skin tone. The fact is a layer of skin on top of the [ink], which acts like a translucent layer on top of whatever color you put underneath the skin. The stuff that makes us brown people brown—is produced in this translucent layer, also known as the epidermis. Tattoo ink is injected below the layer of melanin, so the color of someone’s skin sits above the tattoo ink but below the surface of the skin.
Tattoo ink will work the same way on everyone's skin, and there isn't some kind of magical proprietary formula that will allow you to have a yellow tattoo that pops like it's painted on. Certain tones, cooler or warmer, have certain complimentary colors that work better . But generally, if you aren’t really dark, you have a fairly open palette.
